The project required the complete design of the transmission system that involves approximately 2.5 miles of HDPE, waterline ranging from 6” to 18” in diameter. The project requires the design and installation of main transmission lines, service ties, abandonment’s, fire hydrants, air vacuum assemblies and pavement removal and replacement. The project required RQ and it’s design/build team to provide system modeling involving not only numeric, graphic and written data, but also data that relates to outside influences that might affect the anticipated result such as seismic, environmental, atmospheric and climatic conditions. Design and execution of the project also required the implementation of a Global Positioning System (GPS) surveying methodologies including data collection and interpretation and review of source materials including as-built drawings, CAD drawings in digital and/or analog format, spreadsheets/reports containing the list of attributes and other information pertinent to the utility systems. The geospatial data and information collected will be translated to vector format and link attributes and used in the final surveying activities.
