RQ Construction currently offers you four medical plan options: a H.S.A. High (HDHP) and H.S.A. Low (HDHP) with Health Savings Accounts, a PPO, and an HMO Plan (CA employees only). Coverage can be elected for employees and dependents.
H.S.A. Low (HDHP) with Health Savings Account (H.S.A.)
The H.S.A. Low HDHP plan combined with Health Savings Account provides a high deductible medical plan with a tax advantaged health savings account, partially funded by RQ. Those who elect this option should expect to see a slightly lower deductible, but a higher premium compared to the H.S.A. High plan. The health savings account is used to pay for eligible medical expenses incurred before reaching the annual plan deductible.

The Network plan is designed to meet all of your healthcare needs within its provider network. With the PPO Plan you maintain the ability to select your physicians within the provider network. Those who elect this option should expect to see a lower deductible, with a higher premium compared to the H.S.A. High and Low plans.
HMO Plan (CA Employees Only)
The Network plan is designed to meet all of your healthcare needs within its provider network. With the HMO plan you pick a primary care physician who manages all of your healthcare needs. When you need medical care, all referrals and services must be authorized by your primary care physician.
RQ Construction offers one dental plan option: a dental PPO. The offers comprehensive dental care includes coverage for both adults and dependents with the freedom to choose any dentist you wish, though patients experience the lowest-out-of-pocket maximums when they see a dentist in the PPO network.
RQ Construction offers vision coverage that can be elected for both adults and dependents. Patients are not required to visit a participating doctor/vision provider for benefits; however, using a non-network provider will affect the level of benefit received.
Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)
RQ employees are offered the opportunity to enroll in flexible spending accounts for dependent care expenses. Flexible spending accounts are tax-free accounts that can be set up for a calendar year to pay for eligible dependent care expenses. These plans are exempt from state and federal taxes.
401(k) Salary Deferral Plan
RQ employees are eligible to participate in the RQ Construction 401(k) Plan. RQ will match the first 1% and then 50% on each percent contributed after 1% for up to the first 6% of the employee’s salary. All contributions are vested at 2 years of service. Employees who are over the age of 50 are eligible to participate in the catch-up contribution, which increases the annual deferral limit for those who qualify.
Life Insurance and AD&D Coverage
RQ Construction provides employees with a Basic Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment insurance benefit. Both life and AD&D benefits are a one-time your base salary up to $300,000 maximum.
An employee who becomes disabled due to pregnancy, injury, or illness, may be eligible for paid short-term disability at 60% of weekly base salary up to 24 weeks with a weekly maximum of $2,308. This benefit is provided with receipt of medical certification and determination of a qualified disability. This benefit can be coordinated with state disability, if applicable.
RQ provides employees with Long-Term Disability (LTD) coverage equal to 60% of your base earnings, with a maximum monthly benefit of $10,000 up to later of age 65 or SSNRA. LTD benefits begin after a 180-day elimination period.
Critical Illness, Cancer, and Accident Insurance
Critical Illness, Cancer, and Accident Insurance from Colonial Life helps bridge the gap left by medical and disability insurance by providing funds for additional out-of-pocket expenses.
Employee Assistance Program
Dealing with the pressures of everyday life (family, relationships, work, and finances) can sometimes require professional assistance. The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides a resource for RQ employees and their families to improve and maintain their physical and emotional well-being through professional counseling. 24-hour resource counseling and support services is provided for a range of topics including emotional distress, substance abuse and work issues.
Health Advocate is a service provided to employee to assist with claim research and assistance. This benefit can assist you in finding qualified doctors, hospitals, dentists, and other providers nationwide, as well as answer questions regarding benefit coverage.
Employee Referral Program
RQ is always looking to hire great people. As an incentive to bring new employees to RQ, the Employee Referral program awards employees who refer a friend or relative for a current job opening with $500-$3,000 depending on the type of placement.
All full-time employees accrue vacation annually based on hours paid per week. Accrual for the first five years of employment is two weeks per year (10 days) and increases to three weeks (15 days) following five full years of employment. Vacation can carry over from year to year.
All employees accrue sick time annually for a maximum of 8 days. Sick time can carry over from year to year, but will never exceed 56 hours.
RQ provides 7-9 paid holidays per year, depending on the calendar year.
