Letter from George
Here we are at the time of year again when we reflect on the past, present, and the future. There is probably no one better to reflect on the past than me. Having lived every moment of RQ’s past, it might be hard for many of you to fully appreciate my view of the RQ of today. Without being overly dramatic, I can say that I am blessed, amazed, thankful, and proud. Not proud of what I have accomplished, but proud of what you have accomplished. Thankful not only of our successes but thankful that God spared us the crashes when we dodged bullets that could have ended the company.
Today, we celebrate the best of RQ in virtually every category, be it our people, our size, our backlog, our profitability. We truly are executing to our vision, growing our markets, our people, and our capabilities, while living our values. We now almost need a map to remember all the places that the RQ flag flies.
The future looks very bright for RQ. We are in more MACCs and MATOCs than any other company that I am aware of. The work program to bid on for design and construction is north of 10 billion dollars.
So we celebrate the past and the present, while we eagerly look forward to the future. My word of caution is a word to us all. We are what we are due to careful attention to our culture and to our values. Both must be carefully nurtured and protected. Let’s never forget that so that we continue to be part of something that we want to pass on to future generations, doing great things, set apart while serving our men and women who risk their lives for us.
May you have a blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year!
