LOGSU Two Operations Facility, Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story, Virginia Beach, Virginia
This project includes the design and construction of a new Logistic Supply Warehouse Building, Armory, and Boat Storage Facility. The new one-story 30,100-SF Logistic Supply Warehouse provides bulk storage for Gear Issue, SPEAR, and CBR training supplies. The building is a pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) with a structural frame and ground floor slab supported by a deep foundation-system. Site improvements include associated paving, parking, areas for four powered and unpowered prefabricated hazmat storage units, a dumpster enclosure, and landscaping. The major functional areas of the Logistics Supply Warehouse include a customer service area, shipping and receiving areas, warehouse storage, and pallet staging.
The new one-story 25,500-GSF Armory provides a facility to store and maintain weapons assigned to personnel. It houses separate weapons storage and distribution spaces, as well as weapons cleaning and weapons maintenance spaces. The Armory is a cast-in-place concrete structure designed to Vault standards, with a brick veneer and metal panel exterior skin. Both the concrete structure and ground floor slab are supported by a deep foundation system. The major functional areas include a front desk check-in area, weapons and parts storage, weapons maintenance, and weapons cleaning.
The new one-story 21,500-GSF Boat Storage Facility is utilized for storage of boats and bulk storage of routine boat maintenance supplies. It is a PEMB with a structural frame and ground floor slab supported by a deep foundation system. The major function areas include boat storage and a boat garage.
This project also includes the renovation of Buildings 3853 and 3855 and demolition of
existing Buildings 3805 and 3836.

The contractor's onsite team did a very good job of completing the new Warehouse and renovating Building 3583.
The B3583 2nd floor HVAC replacement adding more complexity to the renovation and the contractor rose to the challenge and
turned out a great finished product.
